Eligibility Requirements
There are no prerequisites educational or experience requirements for taking the exam or become certified. However, candidates must possess a valid government-issued ID and complete an application form to register for the exam.
Exam Fees and Languages
$299 USD. For the upcoming March 2024 exam window, the price is reduced to $249.
The exam is available in English.
How to Register for the FMAA Exam?
1. No need to become an IMA member: you can directly enrol in the FMAA program.
To do this, you will need to create an account on the IMA website and then complete the program enrolment form.
2. Pay the entrance fee.
The IMA hasn’t announced the FMAA entrance fee yet, we expect further details towards the end of December.
3. Register for the exam.
Once you have paid the entrance fee, you can register for the exam. You can register for the exam online or by calling the Prometric testing center.
4. Schedule your exam appointment.

5. Take the exam.
On the day of your exam, you will need to arrive at the Prometric testing center at least 30 minutes early. You will need to bring a valid government-issued ID with you to the exam.
